2016 TENSHEN

Our palates are always on the hunt for those unique wines out there that nobody else has yet to discover. Eureka and Success! TENSHEN, a white blend from the Santa Barbara region of California. We tried this wine from its initial vintage, and was only able to procure 1 single bottle before it was gone. Thankfully, production is up and availability of the 2016 vintage is plentiful. We are talking about one of the most interesting white wines we’ve sampled in a long time. A blend of Viognier, Chardonnay, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc, its first taste blasts a super juicy combination of grilled pineapple, honeysuckle, tangerine, melon, meyer lemon and black licorice. It’s excitingly refreshing up front, all the way through its long finish. Like a bird enjoying a fresh burst of nectar from a beautiful flower, you too will love what this beauty has to offer.
