CHATEAU FIGEAG 2018 Saint Emilion Grand Cru

This estate is one of many prestigious in Bordeaux. Family owned over 150 years and has 14 hectares of land and 40 hectares of single block vines that date back to the 16th century.
This 100 Pt wine is full bodied and firm. In the glass a deep purple color. Deep black and blue fruit. On the nose plum, and black cherry, with hints of violet and tea.
The palate is powerful and full bodied with ripe busting fruit. Well balanced ending on a long dense rich finish.
The grapes are hand picked at maturity. This wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Pairing can include Beef steaks, Duck, Lamb or a really good burger!
