Castello di Amarosa

Germany, France, England? No sir, Castello di Amarosa sits in the heart of Napa Valley near the northern city of Calistoga. The castle was a pet project of Dario Sattui who made his fortune with his V Sattui Winery. Construction began in 1995 and welcomed its first guests in 2007. Built in the style of 12th and 13th century architecture at a cost of $40 million, it has 107 room, 141,000 square feet, with a working draw bridge, moat, great hall, defensive towers and its own torture chamber (possibly for those 2 Buck Chuck drinkers).
