2013 Feather Cabernet Sauvignon

Look far north to the State of Washington which has been producing some of the best unknown quality gems for a number of years. Long Shadow Vintners in Walla Walla are one of its shining stars and their Feather Cabernet an Oscar winning candidate. Inky purple in color, it starts with a menthol eucalyptus nose that leads you to its chewy dark fruit ensemble. Chocolate, violets, smoke and exotic spice notes give way to a huge espresso backbone, finishing with elegant silky tannins.
