2018 Kongsgaard Chardonnay

Without a doubt, the best Chardonnay that has ever passed through my lips, be it classic French or New World California. I have always been a fan of this Napa Valley white for many years but only recently have I had the opportunity to sample it once again. The multiple aromas that filled the glass were scents from Heaven, ripe and pure as if handpicked by angels themselves. Its full bodied richness displays baked apple, peach, pineapple, quince and lemon accents with a mid palate of toast and crème brulee. It was eagerly savored with every sip, so much so that you hoped the bottle would never run dry. Though not inexpensive nor easy to find, if ever you wanted to treat yourself to one of the world’s best wines, this beauty could easily deserve to be crowned “Nectar of the Gods”.
